PORTUGUESE FOR FOREIGNERS

The Portuguese language is one of the most widely spoken in the world today. After Chinese, English, Hindi, Russian and Spanish, Portuguese appears in 6th place, spoken by 175 million people worldwide.
Through our courses we aim to add to this number in an enjoyable and stimulating environment. A basic knowledge of the Portuguese language and culture will help you open doors. We hope that at least some of our students might feel motivated to discover such fantastic writers as Gil Vicente, Camões, Pessoa or Saramago. Reading is an adventure and when we read their works we improve our knowledge of life, other people and perhaps ourselves.

Our Courses (in our office or in your company)

Portuguese tailor made courses for companies and individuals in a very comfortable intimate learning environment at reasonable prices.

We teach all levels from beginner to advanced. There are 3 options, depending on how fast the student needs to learn or intends to learn:

Crash Courses:
Targeted at professional people who don't have time to waste and need to learn or to improve their Portuguese rapidly.
45 hours (3h/day), external visits to practise Portuguese on request.

Mini Courses for Ladies
Targeted at everyday needs of a Lady (Shopping, restaurants, travel arrangements, managing phone calls, doctor´s appointments, etc.)
This course comprises
4 weeks (4h/week) - external visits included to practise Portuguese

Regular Courses
This course is unstressfull and will run at your pace of learning.
These courses comprises
2 /3 hours a week from September until end of June

Portuguese Cooking Courses
4 weeks - every Thursday (10-13h) - (3-5 students)

Schedule:
Classes are held from 07:30 in the morning to 08:00 in the evening in our office or in your company

Class Size: 4 students maximum

Methodology
The qualification - University Degree -and experience of our teachers allow them to make a difficult language like Portuguese easy to learn. The courses are based on communicative, grammatical and writing aspects in a balanced way, so the student will progress to the next level in the shortest time possible.

Activities
- Well-come party
-Cheese and wine party
-Visits to museums and historical sites, theatres
-Coffee meetings (being always possible to taste homemade traditional cakes)
-Portuguese music: listen to Fado after a typical dinner without falling in a trap for tourists.
